Potential juror jailed for skipping jury duty [Iowa]

SIOUX CITY — He didn’t want to appear in court for jury duty.

But James Ahart wound up in court anyway, answering a judge’s questions about why he ignored two summonses to report for jury service in U.S. District Court in Sioux City.

Instead of spending time on a jury, the Spirit Lake, Iowa, man spent time in jail.
